Tips for Pregnant Women: Pregnancy can make you look radiant, glowing, and look beautiful. But not infrequently, some pregnant women complained of acne during pregnancy.
Every pregnant woman is different, there is experienced acne during pregnancy, some are not problematic at all. Acne during pregnancy can result from hormonal changes, in which the skin may be more sensitive, so if there is slight irritation it may cause damage to the skin.

Androgen hormones and changes in hydration or fluid content in the body are the two main factors that play a role in the onset of acne during pregnancy. Androgen hormone increases, causing progesterone during pregnancy, causing the sebaceous glands in the skin becomes larger, and causing the gland production increases or so-called sebum.
This excess sebum mixes with dead skin cells exfoliate in folkie channels in the hair and causes blockage of the skin pores. These conditions facilitate the acne-causing bacteria to multiply rapidly, causing inflammation and acne to appear.

Some pregnant women also have brown spots with varying sizes appear on the skin. These spots are called chloasma or mask of pregnancy.
Here are some tips to minimize acne and skin problems during pregnancy.
– To free the skin free from oil, wash the face 2–3 times a day using a gentle facial cleanser and oil-free. Wash your face using warm water, then dry softly and use an oil-free facial moisturizer. Do not dry the face by rubbing, but patted it gently.
– To absorb oil from your face, you can clean your face using an oil-absorbing micro-fiber cloth.
– Do not touch the acne with dirty hands. Clean your face gently to prevent the spread of bacteria that cause acne to other body parts.
– Exercise regularly, thereby increasing blood flow circulation and maintaining skin health.
– Do not squeeze or scratch acne, thus causing acne scars (scarring due to acne).
– Use water-based cosmetics, and bearing non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic, and avoid oil-based cosmetics. Do not forget to clean the makeup before bed.

– Consume lots of fruits and vegetables. Drink 6–8 glasses of water a day and apply a healthy diet.
– Consume vitamin B6 which is obtained through egg yolk, fish, meat, grains, milk, poultry meat, and bananas.
– Avoid excessive cleansing as it may trigger the production of oil.
– Use disposable sponges or cotton when using a toner or makeup.
– Use sunscreen every day. Choose SPF above 15 and use it 30 minutes before outdoor activities. Repeat usage 3–4 hours.
Talk with a dermatologist if the acne and black spots are already a lot, considering there are some things that need to be avoided by pregnant women.
